Designing your Gold Ring Set

This is a guide on how to begin the process of designing your own 14K gold ring set. Always remember that I am here to answer all your questions. All gold rings are made with 14K solid gold, never plated or filled. The cost of the gold rings varies with the ring bands chosen, the ring band size as well as the gemstone size and quality. All rings are custom made so you will see pictures of other customers' ring sets and we can design a set to suit your style. Many of my designs are family birthstone rings or we can design a ring set around colours you love!

Here are the steps that can help with the design process.

1. Choose the 14K gold colour (yellow, rose or white) as well as the style of band you love.

I offer several different ring band options but the selection is more limited than my silver selection. I offer a Celtic band, a smooth rounded band, a hammered rounded band as well as my skinny bands, with a variety of finishes. I can help you narrow down the options once I know which 14K gold colour you love.

Yellow gold Celtic bands and yellow gold skinny smooth bands. All white gold bezels. A mix of 3mm, 4mm and 5mm gemstones.

Yellow and Rose gold half rounded bands. 5mm gemstones

Skinny 14K gold rings, available in yellow, white and rose gold.

Faceted, smooth, twisted and hammered finish.

2. Gemstones: I offer a wide variety of gemstones from high quality natural gems, high quality lab created gems as well as more economical natural alternatives. I prefer to use natural gems when possible for gold rings but we can discuss the options that work with your price point. If you don't see the gemstone that you desire, please contact me to see if I have it or can order it. I will provide the colour description and clarity for the different gemstones during the design process.

You can choose to have all the same size gems in your set or you can mix gemstone shapes and sizes. 4. Ring Size: It is very important to have an accurate ring size. Gold rings can be costly to re-size. You can purchase an adjustable ring sizer from me that works very well or see your local professional jeweler. Once I know your ring size and we finalize the design, I can give you better advice on what size to order. As the width of a ring set increases, it will fit tighter than a standard narrow ring.
